Most side projects die quietly because we load too much pressure into version one. I have been forcing myself to ship smaller, even when the output is rough.
The practical shift is simple: reduce the scope until it can be finished this week, then publish what exists. Not a promise. Not a roadmap. Just a working increment.
Building in public works best when it is factual. Show what changed, what broke, and what you are trying next. People trust process more than polish.
For me, this approach keeps momentum alive. I do not need every project to become a company. I need every project to teach me something concrete.
